One of California’s largest and finest dental laboratories, the Continental Dental Laboratories of Torrance, California responded positively to the appeal of the Philippine supporters of Dentistry For Every Village Foundation to help build a charity dental clinic at the campus of the Rogationist Seminary in Parañaque, Philippines. The lab, for more than 4 decades operates a huge full service dental lab in the Philippines.
Mr. Jerry Doviack, the Continental Dental CEO gave the donation on behalf of his company “It is an honor for our company to be part of this huge humanitarian project to provide free dentistry to hundreds of indigent Filipino people” Doviack stated. ‘I have known and done lab work for Dr. Ed since 1971 and it is a pleasure to join hands with him and Mrs. Silver Salazar, to get this charity dental clinic done”, he added.
Mrs. Salazar is the prime mover of the charity dental clinic. The charitable health care ministry of the Rogationist Congregation is her favorite charity. It was her who requested Dr. de la Vega to build and donate a dental clinic at the Rogationist campus so that they can extend further their charitable ministries, particularly health services to the indigent people.
The grant from Continental Dental Laboratories will be used to purchase of a dental x-ray unit to complement the digital x-ray system planned for the dental clinic that is expected to be in full operation by March 6, 2017.
In addition to the grant, Mr. Doviack also committed to provide numerous small dental equipment , hand instruments and some supplies for the dental clinic.
The Dentistry for Every Village Foundation, Inc., raises funds by seeking grants and donations to build dental clinics. These clinics are donated to health care institutions that have the resources to house the facility, experiences and expertise to run them efficiently, and whose management is supportive of the cause.
